LEE COUNTY, FL – The Lee County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has appointed Commissioner Tammy Hall as chairwoman of the Tourist Development Council (TDC) effective today.
Hall was previously TDC chair in 2005-2006 when she took a stewardship position along with the TDC on water quality issues. Prior to being elected to the Lee County Commission in 2004, Hall served on the Fort Myers City Council for four years. In this position, she championed the development and funding for the downtown revitalization plan, and was active with community development in other areas of the city.

She has owned her own marketing consulting firm of Hall & Company since 1994. Her clients have included local businesses and retail establishments, as well as clients in regional and international markets.

Hall has been a Lee County resident for 30 years and attended Edison College. Her dedication to community service has included volunteer work with several non-profit and charitable boards throughout Lee County, as well as serving on numerous task forces dealing with community growth challenges.

Commissioner Hall replaces TDC Chairman Ray Judah.

The nine-member TDC was established by the BOCC in 1983 to increase tourism to Lee County.
