Nomination Deadline: February 17, 2012

To be nominated, the business or individual should embody and exhibit the criteria listed in one of the available categories below:

• Business Development: Innovative, high growth business that has made a significant impact on the local economy and directly or indirectly promotes the destination as a whole.
• Eco-Innovation: Nominee who has made a significant contribution to: the preservation of our natural resources; and/or our economic and environmental health by operating as an “eco-friendly” business; and/or serving as an example to others in both respects.
• Cultural Achievement: Nominee who has made a significant contribution to: the preservation or development of our cultural assets, encompassing the arts and our heritage; and/or associated festivals and events.
• Education: Nominee who by working with our business community has made a significant contribution to: raise the level of professional development and skill training in our work force; and/or improve the means whereby we market our destination.
• Sports: Nominee who has made a significant contribution to the development of our sports and recreation industry.
• Sales & Marketing: Nominee who has: made a significant contribution to the marketing and promotion of our destination; and/or created a novel event or innovative marketing program.
• Sustainability: Business or organization that has made a significant contribution to the community's sustainability by promoting a balance of social, economical and environmental resources; supports the health of the community by demonstrating social responsibility, minimizing impact, and remaining economically viable.
