The Product Development department works with the Tourist Development Council (TDC) to create, implement and manage programs to improve the destination offering and visitor experience. The Beach & Shoreline Program allocates tourism tax funding for preserving and enhancing local beaches and shoreline, which has a major impact on visitor activity. The Arts & Attractions Program provides financial assistance to not-for-profit art and attraction organizations to market the arts. Similarly, the Events Programs funds local events with the goal of generating additional night stays in Lee County hotels. The Packaging Program encourages businesses to offer consumers bundled savings in order to entice visitation.
