We are presently looking for a results oriented General Manager with the desire to achieve profitability through people, quality and hospitality. Responsible for overseeing all segments of the operations. Key areas of responsibility include developing operational processes, effective cost controls and inventory controls, team performance, increased sales and profitability, development, training and retention of staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Executes business plan to improve guest experience and increase their loyalty
  • Develops, communicates and achieves forecasts and realistic budgets, goals and objectives
  • Develops processes and standard operating and inventory control procedures
  • Controls other direct operating expenses such as utilities, smallwares, etc., to minimize expense without adversely affecting operations
  • Ensures the profitability of restaurant operations by operating within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines while providing quality food and exceptional service
  • Recruits, retains, trains and develops an optimum number of staff who are enthusiastically dedicated to delivering the highest level of Hospitality to the guest
  • Drives and monitors sound community involvement programs
  • Manages others work safely by being alert and taking action regarding safety hazards
  • Ensures that all restaurant paperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis including but not limited to: daily sheets, payroll, purchase orders, bank deposits, employment-related forms, etc.

Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience as a General Manager in an upscale casual/casual dining and/or catering concept a plus
  • Passion for food and sharing that enthusiasm throughout a community
  • Strong operations background with experience in operational processes, controlling costs, inventory management, and proven experience in an upscale market
  • People First Mentality – passion for driving exceptional Guest & Employee experiences
  • People Development – recruitment, selection and training of team members
  • Expertise in computer skills including Microsoft office, excel, QuickBooks, POS, email and social medias.

Job Description - Description: The Offshore Sailing School Sales Manager (SM) manages the Sales Department at Company headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida. This position focuses on meeting or surpassing revenue goals, providing excellent customer service, training and motivation for the sales team. Requirements: The SM must have a college degree and a minimum of two years’ individual sales and sales management experience. He or she should be goal oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and possess patience and customer sensitivity. In addition, the SM should be an enthusiastic sailor or have strong interest in sailing, and at least two years’ experience in selling vacation/travel products to high end customers.

Responsibilities: The SM will manage the training, sales and activities of up to four sales associates and one office administrative assistant. The SM is also required to sell corporate and individual products.

Compensation: This is a salaried position plus commission on sales revenues when team goals are met. Salaries are paid on the 1st and 15th of each month, commissions are paid on the 15th for goals achieved in the previous full month.

Outline of Management Areas Directly Controlled by the Sales Manager with Associated Tasks and Responsibilities: The outline below includes but is not limited to current responsibilities and is subject to change.

Sales Team Supervision
1. Train, coach and review sales team members in knowledge of products and use of reservations system
2. Distribute daily leads, monitor sales associate/customer interaction, ensuring all customer leads are initially responded to within 24 hours of receipt with timely follow-up procedures
3. Work one-on-one with each sales associate to efficiently achieve sales goals
4. Conduct weekly sales meetings and set up systems and procedures as needed to facilitate sales and customer communications
5. Set team schedules to provide office phone and email coverage
6. Personally sell products and services to help meet Company goals
7. Back up daily in-coming phone calls to avoid roll-overs
8. Monitor and change as necessary forms and information sent to customers
9. Oversee inventory of textbooks, brochures, catalogs and other customer/sales items
10.Ensure all customer requests for materials; brochures etc. are fulfilled on timely basis
11.Oversee timely processing of certifications earned by clients
12.Handle customer service issues and questions sales associates cannot answer
13.Ensure team reads, understands and embraces PR efforts, website pages, e-blasts and is prepared to handle changes or news that goes to customers
14.Maintain current knowledge of competition and help develop competitive edge strategies with management group 15.Interview, hire, and terminate as necessary
Interact with Management Team – Chairman, CEO & President, Director of Marketing, Director of Operations, IT/Revenue Specialist
• Participate in management meetings
• Communicate on regular basis with IT/Revenue Specialist regarding package rates, reservations system, yield management and other related matters
• Decide on work schedules/hours for sales team
• Discuss and implement discount and bonus programs
• Collaborate on strategies for trade shows and personally work show
